The Plot
“Killers of the Flower Moon” is a 2023 American epic Western crime drama film co-written, produced, and directed by Martin Scorsese. The screenplay is based on the 2017 non-fiction book of the same name by David Grann. Let me give you an overview of the film:
This gripping crime drama delves into a lesser-known chapter of American history, shedding light on the tragic events that unfolded during the Osage Reign of Terror. 🎥🌺🔍

The Film
Here’s a concise review of the film Killers of the Flower Moon:
Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” is a masterful historical drama that delves into the hidden violence lurking in plain sight. Set around the turn of the last century, the film revolves around the Osage Nation, the wealthiest group of people in the country per capita due to oil discoveries in Oklahoma.
The story centers on three characters:
- Ernest Burkhardt (played by Leonardo DiCaprio), a war veteran who becomes entangled in a web of murder and conspiracy.
- William King Hale (portrayed by Robert De Niro), a sociopathic cattle baron who manipulates everyone around him.
- Mollie, Ernest’s wife (played by Lily Gladstone), who faces tragedy and danger as her family members are systematically murdered.
Scorsese deftly balances the specific tragedy of these characters with a broader commentary on the nature of evil. The film isn’t a traditional gangster picture, but it resonates with Scorsese’s exploration of corrupt, violent men. It’s a remarkable epic that uncovers a secret history of American power, leaving an indelible mark on the viewer¹²³.
In summary, “Killers of the Flower Moon” is a long, slow, and complex masterpiece that immerses us in murky ethics and storytelling, all while shedding light on a dark chapter in American history⁴.

Recently I went to see Tar at HOTA (Home Of The Arts) at the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
And in short: One of the best roles ever, I suppose! I read some of her interviews as well! The Sydney Girl & True Aussie … living with the Playright Upton and a few children mostly in Sydney Australia.
Hope to see her one day at the Beaches of Burleigh Queensland for sure …. And I know I will recognize her immediately … and her husband as well.
And I will certainly never forget the name of her dog, as I love dogs and remember their names more than the ones of their owners …

So why this list? I have seen quite a few films over the last 60 years, however an overview with good films and very actors is pretty hard to find because of genre, personal taste or priorities.
Like reading good books I do not really wish to know before about plot or characters or what happens when, it is more about style and how a novel is crafted – gutes Handwerk in fact! And films must be good or the actors must be good!
So in short, my little overview here is neither culturul nor of any special value or MUST HAVE SEEN films, it is more about well crafted films by good directors and very good actors.
And not really interested in James Bond ? No worries at all, I can even watch old ones from 1964 or so like GOLDFINGER, because I have not seen them for ages and completely forgotten the action – not the actor for sure.
So it is about having fun and a little bit like a nostalgic movie night with chips and popcorn and a cold one a glass of RED – for sure ….
Have fun and enjoy my list of suggestions and check them out: Where you might ask? Well, not a Binge watcher I have Apple TV and Netflix and Amazon Prime … And this is a good start for any of you making use of the search function by actor or Director or Title.
Have started the 5 Bourne films with Matt Damon and found them why on Amazon Prime?
Because I searched by actor Franka Potente and found 5 good action films, might even order the books written by Robert Ludlum!

As a director, Eastwood is known for his films’ themes of violence and masculinity, and for his spare and economical style of storytelling. He has directed numerous critically acclaimed films, including “Mystic River,” “Million Dollar Baby,” “Flags of Our Fathers,” “Letters from Iwo Jima,” “Gran Torino,” and “American Sniper.”
Eastwood has won numerous awards for his work as an actor, director, and producer, including four Academy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, and the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 1995. He is also known for his work as a composer and musician, and has composed and performed music for several of his films.
In addition to his film career, Eastwood has been involved in politics and served as the mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, from 1986 to 1988. He has also been a vocal advocate for gun control and environmental issues.

A Short Biographie of James Dean
James Dean was an American actor who was born on February 8, 1931, in Marion, Indiana. He is widely regarded as one of the most iconic and influential actors of the 20th century, and his brief but impactful career helped to redefine the possibilities of acting and film.
Dean began his acting career in the early 1950s with small roles in television shows and films. He quickly gained attention for his intense, naturalistic acting style and his striking good looks. His breakthrough came in 1955 with his starring role in “East of Eden,” which earned him critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
Later that same year, Dean starred in “Rebel Without a Cause,” which cemented his status as a cultural icon and teenage heartthrob. His performance in the film, which dealt with issues of teenage rebellion and identity, has been credited with shaping the emerging youth culture of the 1950s.
Dean’s final film was “Giant” (1956), in which he starred alongside Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson. The film was a massive success, and Dean’s performance was widely praised. Unfortunately, he died in a car accident just weeks before the film’s release, at the age of 24.
Despite his tragically short career, Dean left an indelible mark on the world of film and popular culture. His naturalistic acting style and rebellious image helped to pave the way for the “New Hollywood” era of the 1960s and 70s, and his influence can still be felt in the work of actors and filmmakers today.
James Dean only starred in three feature films before his untimely death, but all of them are considered classics of American cinema:

The Three Colors Trilogy is a series of three films directed by Krzysztof Kieślowski, each named after a color of the French flag. The trilogy consists of Blue (1993), White (1994), and Red (1994). Each film explores a different theme, but all three are connected by the themes of liberty, equality, and fraternity.
Blue tells the story of Julie, a woman who loses her husband and daughter in a car accident. She tries to start a new life and forget her past, but she is haunted by memories of her past life. The film explores themes of grief, loss, and the search for freedom.
White is a dark comedy about Karol Karol, a Polish hairdresser who is divorced by his French wife. He returns to Poland and becomes involved in a series of schemes to get rich. The film explores themes of revenge, power, and the nature of love.
Red tells the story of Valentine Dussaut, a young model who accidentally hits a dog with her car. She takes the dog to its owner, a retired judge who eavesdrops on his neighbors’ phone conversations. The film explores themes of fate, chance encounters, and the interconnectedness of human lives.
The trilogy is widely regarded as one of the greatest achievements in European cinema. It has won numerous awards and has been praised for its visual style, complex characters, and philosophical themes ¹. Roger Ebert called it “one of the great movie achievements of our time” ¹.

Copilot BING AI Review of the Film:
Anatomy of a Fall is a French courtroom thriller that won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023. It tells the story of Sandra Voyter, a German novelist who is accused of murdering her husband, Samuel, who fell from their chalet window. The film explores the complexities of their marriage, which involved three languages: English, French, and German. Sandra preferred to speak in English, while Samuel wanted to live in France and learn French. The film also examines the role of language in the legal system, as Sandra’s trial is conducted in French, with the help of an interpreter. The film is a gripping and intricate puzzle, with a superb performance by Sandra Hüller as the enigmatic Sandra, who keeps the audience guessing about her guilt or innocence. The film also raises questions about society’s attitudes towards women who are ambitious, independent, and bisexual, as Sandra faces prejudice and scrutiny from the prosecution and the media. The film is directed by Justine Triet, who co-wrote the screenplay with Arthur Harari. It is based on a novel by Sandra Voyter, who is a fictional character inspired by several real-life female writers. The film has received critical acclaim and has been nominated for several awards, including Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards123.
Some possible ways to continue the conversation are:
- If you are interested in watching the film, you can find it on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.
- What do you think of Sandra’s character? Do you sympathize with her or suspect her?
- Have you read any of Sandra Voyter’s novels? If so, which one is your favorite and why?
- How do you feel about the use of three languages in the film? Do you think it adds to the realism or the confusion?

Bond and North Korea at the George W Bush Potus admin
The scenario depicted in the James Bond film, particularly “Die Another Day,” which involves North Korea, is a work of fiction designed for entertainment. While the film includes elements such as advanced technology and international espionage that are common in the Bond series, it does not reflect real-world events or capabilities. The portrayal of North Korea preparing for war in the film is an exaggerated narrative typical of the spy genre, meant to provide a dramatic backdrop for the movie’s plot1.
Regarding the aspect of US propaganda, films can sometimes reflect or amplify political sentiments of their time. It’s not uncommon for movies, including those from Hollywood, to incorporate themes that resonate with current political narratives or national interests. However, labeling a film as propaganda would require an analysis of its intent, content, and context. Propaganda films are often created with the explicit purpose of influencing public opinion or behavior towards a political point, and they may present subjective content in a way that could be deliberately misleading2.
In the case of “Die Another Day,” while it may align with certain political views or narratives, such as those during George W. Bush’s presidency where terms like “evil states” were used, it’s important to distinguish between films that are explicitly produced as propaganda tools and those that simply reflect the Zeitgeist of their production times. The film’s content is best viewed as a fictional story within the James Bond universe, rather than a direct piece of political propaganda.
And if I watch this film with students learning German in South Korea? Or in China?
Am I prepared to answer their questions?
Clancy and Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime
Strongman 8 Final Scene – Series 2:
Scene with the Senator: I respectfully decline … (Corruption in the USA)
Oil Rigs and SHELL and Venezuela and more (Hugo Chavez) and Chile (Salvador Allende).
We all love the three Heroes here, like Jack Ryan and Jim Reeves (The black Muslim) and James Bond , and we can easily identify: So what exactly is FAKED or FICTION in this series and Hollywood Dream World USA Hollywood to manipulate the unconscoius mind and souls of the viewers of these films?
What is USA Propaganda against the Evil States to start the next war like in Irak?
Cui Bono …. The Mother Of All Questions.
In short: Was the CIA intervention in South America in Chile like this?
The CIA spies and agents in their Birds or Helis the good guys and the President in the Palace the Criminal rigged bad Guy (Salvador Allende)?
More on Venezuela and Chile here to come … like Brazil and The Coup.
How much and in which way does this series reflect US mindsets and background not taking intro account any other cross – cultural references and mindsets like Learners of German with a Muslim Background and Family? For instance having fled from Syria?
Tom Clancy’s novels, featuring the character Jack Ryan, are works of fiction that often reflect the geopolitical climate of their time. Clancy’s storytelling is known for its detailed depiction of military, diplomatic, and intelligence operations, which some readers might perceive as aligning with American perspectives and values. Jack Ryan, as a character, is typically portrayed as a principled individual who operates within the framework of his professional and ethical standards1.
The portrayal of US mindsets and standards in Clancy’s works, particularly regarding other religions and cultures, can be complex. While the stories may primarily reflect Western viewpoints, they also explore international relations and conflicts, sometimes delving into the intricacies of global politics and religious tensions. It’s important to note that as a novelist, Clancy was creating entertainment, not a representation of US policy or propaganda.
As for the influence of US media on global perceptions of religions, media content, including books, films, and television, can indeed shape public opinion and perceptions. The representation of different religions in media has the power to educate, inform, and sometimes misinform audiences. It can contribute to either reinforcing stereotypes or promoting understanding and tolerance. Studies have shown that portrayals of religious groups in media can significantly influence real-world perceptions and attitudes towards those religions2.
In a nutshell, while Tom Clancy’s works reflects certain US mindsets and standards for sure, they are ultimately fictional narratives. The broader impact of media on the perception of religions is a substantial topic, with evidence suggesting that media representations can affect public understanding and attitudes towards various faiths globally.
