Morning Beach Walking at the Gold Coast, QLD<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I am interested in many articles and texts that deal with health in old age. Who wouldn’t want to grow old in good health? But apart from gathering knowledge, you also have to do something: exercise and find the sports that suit you. As I am rather unathletic, cycling and swimming and walking are my methods to keep fit. Every morning before breakfast I do my beach walk first, around 8 to 9 km per day \u2014 yes correct: 80 km in 10 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some people might ask WHY? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, since I retired I do things I was not able to do before, and I do have more time. Not moving in slow motion, but moving slowly. And as I cannot travel because of Covid and fly to Germany or Europe, I decided to walk every morning and make this a daily routine. Same story every day? In fact not, as I can explore my backyard slowly and literally step by step: This gives me time to compare and think and reflect. And the outcome is superb, re – energised after a good sleep and 90 minutes of walking without running and no headset and phone – sometimes only my camera – I come back home to start the day totally relaxed and full of ideas and plans for the day and the week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not only for my fitness, but for my general well being as well: Walking through the quiet streets before the day awakes, I observe over the year how houses and neighbourhood are changing: Some old houses are knocked down, another auction sign for the land to be sold, and within a few months a completely new face of the streets around us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shops are closing down and others are reopened. Small business trying to survive the corona crisis, many owners have brilliant ideas and others will have to give up completely. Moving on \u2026 is the word for Queenslanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reaching the beach I have two options, either walking north or walking south! Because of the wind and the light and the sun and the shape of the waves I decide more or less without thinking: Every morning is different, because the sky and the ocean and the surf looks different, and last not least the beach looks different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So come with me and follow me and enjoy with me and my photos the morning walk along the ocean, where life is good and every day is a most beautiful day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While walking I kind of meditate and think about the day to come and my tasks and my priorities: What I do not like to do, I do first, so by 12 or 2pm my duties are successfully finished and I can do the tasks I like more in the afternoon before the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very early in the morning people clean the beaches by tractor, and in the park the grass is mown and the toilets are cleaned and the benches are repainted thanks to the GC Council and Gold Coast Park Management and the people working for them: What a wonderful place to be!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I thank all of you doing such a fantastic job for the people living at the Gold Coast and the tourists from Australia and visitors coming from all over the world!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
